Cornwall Open School Orchestras
The Cornwall Music Education Hub is very proud to be working with Open Up Music and partners Cymaz Music and the Cornwall Music Service Trust to offer fully accessible creative ensembles in two of our settings: Pencalenick School and the Ark at Richard Lander School. We are now in the second year of working with these students who have already had the opportunity to perform at the Hall for Cornwall.
In order to enable more young people with Special Educational Needs to access ensemble music making, we are now working with three more settings with a view to setting up Open School Orchestras for their students.
You can see the Open School Orchestras in action in our Inclusion film on our YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJW1gKtvQic
Please see below a call for expressions of interest regarding accessible ensemble delivery in Curnow School and Penryn College ARB during the Spring and Summer Terms of 2018.
